Delhi (NCT) Population 2021 Census: Delhi officially the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT), is a city and a union territory of India containing New Delhi, the capital of India. The National Capital Territory of Delhi is stretched over an area of 1483 sq km. As far as the location of Delhi is concerned, it stands in the middle of the Indian sub-continent, between the Himalayas and Aravallis range. It is bordered by the state of Haryana on three sides and by Uttar Pradesh to the east. The location of Delhi is such that a major part of the city falls on the western side of the Yamuna River.

Delhi’s urban area is now considered to extend beyond the NCT boundaries, and include the neighboring satellite cities of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, and Noida in an area now called National Capital Region (NCR).
